Had an auto for towing, now have a manual. Have to agree with the other 100% auto any day.
especially for towing, manual a real faf with EPB and hill hold and anti-stall, pain in the rear with manual.
Only downside my auto used to average about 27-33
My manual is constantly returning 43-47 and road tax is considerably cheaper so for me I can put up with the manual.
In Europe the manual was brilliant on the auto-routes as we used to tow around 80 which was on such a sweet spot that even up the long inclines it would just sit in 6th pulling like a train, infact I used to put it into 5th down hill to allow 6th gear to cool down. ( something most motorist forget about and cause gearboxes to burn.

But the auto is so much better for hill starts its just a dream and effortless Jaguar x-type sport gone
