I had a platform but removed it to save weight to carry another 20 litres of fuel.

Hi all, anybody know the weight limit on the standard roof bars fitted to the Freelander2 please. |

All up including rails & cross bars 75kg. 64kg net weight (rails & crossbars not included) not a lot. & if you use a roof platform of some description subtract another 15 - 20kg from the net weight! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

In the instructions which come with the crossbars it says 64kg.
