Plenty of threads on here about cracked turbo pipes and some on intercoolers gunked up, so if you have confirmed that the boost pressure is lower than it should be, perhaps that might be a good place to start? 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

You may not find the turbo hose leak unless you do a smoke injection test, there are parts you just can't get to. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Yes, but can you hear it over the engine noise? the turbo only produces boost under acceleration, if you are going to DIY it you need a smoke aerosol my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Split turbo hoses normally produce lots of noise under acceleration.

Badger is correct that the arm does not get lubricated and sticks. You can get hold of it (just) from below, lubricate and move to free off possibly. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
