Clutch sometimes sticking

Hi all!

I recently had my slave cylinder, clutch and fly wheel replaced in my 2007 freelander hse. The slave cylinder went which meant the clutch pedle didnt come back up.
Since it was fixed it seemed fine for about a week... but coming home today... the clutch got stuck halfway from returning..... i pulled it up agaib with my foot and all was well.... going out again it happened again! And only seemed to happen in 1st......
Has anyone else had this issue!? I have checked the fluid level and it is spot on the max level. Could it be air in pipes!? I just spend £1000 for all the clutch /fly wheel work and really hope its something simple to get my car bacķ and fun to drive Sad

First port of call is the garage that charged you a grand and I would suggest you make sure its done to your satisfaction at no cost as in - well it now needs a master cylinder etc. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Thank you for your reply! I took it back to the garage and found out it was a faulty bleed nipple on the slave cylinder.... replaced it free of charge and now ... touch wood is all fixed!

Just need to change my front brake discs and pads but will do that one myself

Make sure you have a torque wrench that goes high enough before you start. The front caliper mounting plate knuckle bolts are 200NM torque.

Apparently bolts to be used once, can't see that happening in far off lands.

A wash in solvent cleaner (petrol) , air dry and locktite would in my book be good enough. Anyone of a different opinion as I am old school and was brought up on spring washers and locking wire (old jags) were a long bar and experience was a torque wrench. They only came out on things like engine rebuilds. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Apart from head bolts which stretch I believe that the only reason for saying that bolts should only be used once is because a lot of bolts come with the blue locking compound already on them. If you put a dab of Loctite on an old bolt it's just as good. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
