TPMS low pressure warning

My 2014 SE TD4 had a flat yesterday and I had a warning on TPMS. It was parked and caused by me fitting some EBay aluminium valve caps, they had a small seal in the base which had fouled the valve core and it was sat on the rim the following morning. I blew the tyre up to 32psi, measured with my accurate gauge but the TPMS still indicates that it's low.

Any ideas?

Still under LR approved used warranty.

Read your handbook as it will have a reset procedure. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Mine always extinguishes immediately once back to normal pressure.
Remember if there is more than 1 position under inflated it will tell you to "check all tyre pressures".......are the others at correct pressure?
If it's indicating the same position that originally went flat then just take it for a short drive and it should existinguish. If there was a fault the TPMS warning light will flash for 20 seconds and stay on with a "TPMS fault" indicated in the message centre and amber triangle. MY15

LR's TPMS system is totally automatic and resets itself after every ignition cycle. There is no reset required. MY15

Had these on previous BMW's and always needed to reset on dash and drive it for a few miles hence my now correct view. Thumbs Up

Complete waste of time as once had a farm tine go through a rear BMW run flat tyre, I knew it had happened and went for several miles more slowly before the car told me. Shocked FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Reset is only required on systems which use the ABS sensors for TPMS.
LR's system is far more sophisticated with each tyre valve having a transmitter which detects position, temp & pressure. MY15

Thanks for the advice, I'll see what happens when I drive it later.

Whatever happened to getting out, having a look at the suspect tyre, giving it a kick whilst saying ''Yep that'll do, nought wrong with it''

Very Happy

Thanks.
