I can see us maybe trying one, preferably a high level hybrid (no chance of a complete EV just yet a while), I kinda like the squared off more traditional design than all the 4x4 jelly moulds around.

In yesterday's Telegraph, the new Defender was voted in the top 5 at this week's Frankfurt Motor Show - the others were the VW ID3, Porsche Taycan, Vauxhall Corsa and BMW i4

It's about time the Defender went auto as coupled with all the off road driving aids the auto is far superior to manual and better to drive on road. But of course each to his own and if you like manuals then it is a bit dissapointing for you. J |

Making an appearance at the Goodwood Revival. Looks really good in the flesh.

I like the overall look of it....BUT......I do hope that massive plastic “roo bar” on the front is optional.......looks like a Carlos Fandango special..... Regards

Perhaps it replaces the DS bonnet airbag, cheaper and just as effective, asuming the DS airbag is effective and not a gimmick. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

£50k for a relative decent spec is way to rich for me so all the posturing about this and that is academic for the vast majority of interested folk. I really can't see many farmers throwing a dead ewe into the back nor driving across a deep ploughed field in their very expensive motor. Notwithstanding their wives might be happy on the school run . 😊 MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.
