Are you assuming internal combustion engine only? I ask because my experience of hybrids is that the torque from the electric motor can be controlled with a finese impossible in a combustion engine, and I wonder if this could be used to take up the slack from a missing low range? Even the old 14my RR HEV felt more precise in torque delivery, until the tiny battery ran out. |

Yes, I’m assuming ICE only, as I’ve never driven an EV off road. |

Looks less modern than the F2, less like a Defender than the various guises of the DC100. And for that reason, I'm out .

I do like what I’ve seen of the new Defender. It’s on my list to replace the DS in a few years. Fingers crossed they’ll do a Trident Green one with white or cream roof. Not pearl or metallic though. That colour will match my old 1983 110. |
