Stage coaches, for example Broome to Sandfire is 330 km & nothing inbetween, & this is the national ring road highway. Upgrade the diesel to solar, keep the diesel for backup. Maybe the government can chip in to help with our extremely rubbery green house figures (in other words government lies). Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Why does it need two exterior bonnet catches? but there are definitely two different cars in the Autocar link, one with BEST 4X4 BY FAR, and RR motif wheels the other with the blanked out signage and non motif wheels, not counting the USA one. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

The bonnet catches are presumably to hold the dummy bonnet on. But what’s underneath? I wonder if rather than the now ubiquitous LR/RR bonnet, they have retained the older wing-and-bonnet look of the Defender? 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

..... and if anyone is expecting it to look as 'boxy' as it does in the photo shots, they should forget it. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

I’ve said this before , the Defender was never a cheap vehicle . I bought my last new one in 1997 a County 90 station wagon. With a few bits of chequer plate and a tow bar on it I think it was a few shillings shy of £23000 list . By the wonder of the internet that is apparently £41,000 today . Of course now said new Defender will have all the usual electronic gizmos , and be subject to whatever Dick Turpin tax the government has added over the years . The cheapest vehicles in the showroom then were 90 vans at about £15000 -+ VAT , by today’s standards they were laughable .

Just before my son went out to Kenya two years ago he had a 6 month old demonstrator Mitsubishi L200 Warrior which was very well kitted out and comfortable to drive and came in at around £25k inc vat. Just looking now at current prices and you can get a new one for £31k This is price point that Defender needs to be in.

Do you mean the short wheel base 2 door and the longer wheelbase 4 door? I notice that both have a pronounced (straight) shoulder line, I think that was a design clue of old. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 79k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |
