like you say, it all depends on what you paid for it in comparison to current prices for FL2 with similar age/mileage,

Wow - thanks very much with the semi vote of confidence When it arrived it was in a LOT worse state then I thought! There was nothing on the auction about the water, or the electrics or even the fact the clutch was stuck on and didn't drive!! Sold as seen eh!

Oh absolutely - im relying on that - and its a lovely smooth ride! Not slow either! We have an X trail as well which has been the day to day car. Got this to replace my wifes astra - she loves it - apart from the smell!

The stereo fascia are separate to the main bulk of the head unit and I believe they just plug and play so the ones you've seen on the bay should work fine as long as they are same as yours |

Hi, problem is it's the actual button that's playing up - so the metal twisted bit under the dial control...

My honest view is if you can move it on as a trade in without losing money do so and get one that is less problematic with a good warranty. Harsh but only time will tell if I am being too negative. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

As far as I know the Fascia contains the buttons and the display, it is connected to the radio behind it. Front of fascia: Rear of fascia: The radio: So I think replacing the fascia (part number LR001070?) will solve your button problem. I would try that first because that is a lot cheaper that going for an aftermarket solution. Replacing with an aftermarket one is possible without loosing the steering wheel controls, see for instance here: https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic29299.html Last edited by grumsel on 30th Jun 2017 12:03 pm. Seems coincidence that both the window and door lock on same door not working so before replacing any bits I would check you have power to the motors as it could be a wiring problem further back .. With experience the only way to get rid of the remaining water/ moisture is to completely remove the interior to remove the under carpet wadding and dry it outside when it's expected to be warm and dry for a few days . Otherwise it will never dry out and you will not only be troubled with electrical problems as the contacts and connectors in the under floor wiring etc corrode but the worst thing will be the constant damp fusty smell and Windows steaming up . Once you get the seats out its pretty straight forward but worth the time and effort . |

Dehumidifier! You'll be surprised how much moisture & water they can move ... You can pick a small-ish one up from Homebase/B&Q. REME .. Rough Engineering Made Easy |
