How about this for cheek then Bob ? I sold my bike a couple of weeeks ago and I rang to cancel the policy, I'm not going to buy another one. The lady on the phone said , " there are two months left to run you are due a £30 refund, but we have a £50 admin or policy change fee, how do you want to pay ? . She informed me of all the horrible liabilities if I left the bike insured as I could have co - liability in an incident.... I informed her that I'd just have to take that chance ! But at the end of the day they have just robbed me of £30 !

Name and shame please. Jules

I use them and have found them to be pretty good.
Used to be with Lancaster until I made my first and only claim. At renewal time they loaded my insurance from £360 to £1369 - by exactly the same cost as the repairs to my Discovery and I lost my no claims bonus too. Sad part was I could have repaired the vehicle myself for less than £200, but payday was still a week or so away and I needed the car, so made the claim.
Anyway, nobody would quote me less than Lancaster due to the claim. Lancaster said that the only way I could get my insurance down was by paying them the cost of the repair, that way they would amend the claim and it would also re-instate my NCB. I told them to get stuffed, that the repair cost was vastly over inflated and what the hell was the point of being fully comp if I would have to pay the repair costs by way of an increased policy .
However by then I'd purchased a Freelander 1 V6 and was finding it impossible to insure due to the above. I was getting quotes of over £3000, all stating the claim and loss of NCB as the reason.
I gave Adrian Flux a call as a desperate last resort . They quoted me £222.10 for the V6 ! Needless to say I've been with them ever since.
