Whisle from rear of car

Hi all, my 2011 hse SD4 has developed a whisle from the rear of the car over the past couple of days.

It only appears to do it once its warmed up and isn't speed related apart from doesn't do it when stationary.

I can't pinpoint where it appears to be coming from only that its the back somewhere and stops if you turn the wheel left but not to the right, also seems to stop if you brake. .

I did wonder if a piece of trim had come loose but can't seen anything.

Before I take into garage has anyone any ideas of what could be?

Thanks as always

John

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Firenze Red

Dry weather and a brake pad squeak possibly . If pads have been in a long time but not ready for changing they may still benefit with a bit of TLC. Or as they say in the trade , let it develop. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I had a squeaky rear beake when it came time for pads and discs I greased everything well with copper grease and it went away, comes back now and again after heavy rain but I live with it.
