Thanks, reckon mine is the battery given I was faffing about with the car last night installing roof rails and had the boot open (light in boot ). Plus when a garage says they have checked the battery that could mean that it starts the car...just! Saw the same message plus overall system failure before I test drove the car (i.e. before it was jump started).

If you attempt to start the car with a poor or low battery, such that the volage drops to 5 volts, all hell will be let loose ! The computer will tell you that the HDC, terraine response, and everything else is BuXXered! THE car crash WARNING WILL show, and you will think the car is totally dead. The wipers will start and the lights will flash! Solution: 1. Ensure you have a GOOD, CHARGED battery 2. Ensure the EARTH is a GOOD (see the posts on this) And if needed, add an extra earth strap to the started motor! 3. Reset the ERROR MESSAGES. Good luck. 4. Disconnect the battery ... touch the positive and negative leads together to achieve a SYSTEM HARD REBOOT. Freelander 2 HSE. Santorini Black. Roof Rack, Running Board, Auto. |
