with some nice guns like that, what you need is a wood sliding floor in your vehicle.

Martyn, they were my first thoughts too! the recoil will be felt more, as his head is too high etc., as described by yourself!

Maybe an hours tuition with the shooting grounds professional would help get his stance right, which in turn would hopefully help him enjoy his shooting in the future ?

I do some IT work for Purbeck Shooting School in Dorset, I am not a shooting instructor but I agree that his head looks in the wrong position it's almost as if he is aiming the gun rather than having it positioned so that it fires where he is looking. I have seen shooting demonstrations where the guy holds the gun above his head and still hits the target. Yes, get a lesson before he learns bad habits. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

You've hit the nail on the head " fire where you are looking " . A farmer mate of mine who shoots a lot of vermin with a .222 centre fire was having trouble getting to grips with his new 32" Miroku Sporter. I t had both a front bead and a mid bead he was always looking at them , not the clay. He booked in for an instruction session with one of the nicest blokes you could meet. After a dozen shots the instructor announced that my buddy was "rifling them".

After my mate failed to grasp the beads were just for lining the gun up his instructor unscrewed the front bead. The mid bead wouldn't come so the instructor produced a block of wood - Whack Rolling with laughter sheared the pip straight off !

Job sorted . Buddy now has no reference points and the clays break Thumbs Up , my own Sporter has a Fluo green tube front and I don't consiously see it

the best bloke for trick shooting is John Bidwell , look him up on youtube. Eight targets from the hip with a pump action Bow down 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
