Driveline slop can also be in front transfer box, or splined coupling between that and main gearbox.

hi, there is no play between the front ird and the front flange on the propshaft, but the outer casing of the propshaft does move

MrRover are you sure your noise is from the front and not the well documented dink noise from the Haldex/Diff area, normally heard when setting off in reverse having come from a forward gear. You can tell by disabling the Haldex by the fuse which stops it. |

Well before you start go pull your haldex fuse and see if it ceases. Be good info to have seen as you've had a consistent dink too. |

I reckon the rear half shafts. Went in a number of times while in warranty. Haldex has been serviced by Bell so quite sure its not that. Quite attached to my dink now FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
