Correct look of roof surface

Would you tell me if yours roof has four curvatures? (not sure about correct name of this)

Im sure about two notable at rear above C pillar.
Not sure about these two at center above B pillars.

See attached picture to understand what I mean.

Actually these curvatures at center are small and hard to see, I've tried to take special picture on which you are able to see it clearly.

Is this ok or it's a damage?

Thanks

Looks like damage to me, probably from a roof rack.

I agree It does look like roof damage from a roof rack, but I would of thought the HSE model would have a sun roof. Unless it's different from country to country. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

I'd call them dents. At least they're symmetrical Cool 2008 Freelander 2 i6 Alaska White - current

These damages seems to be symmetrical.

I brought this car as new&unregistered but It was showroom car.

Is possible dealer done this damage when attaching/detaching genuine roof rack? MY2011 TD4 S Manual

does seem to be quite badly damaged for a roof rack, perhaps damaged during a subsequent service, on a ramp or suchlike ?

I think that you would have noticed it before now if it was like that when you bought it ?

It's hard to notice staying at ground level, first time I noticed this was during car wash using stool by me. Not big problem but I am wondering what has been done with this car as I also had problems with fitting of all car doors and something is still bad with tailgate hinge (probably crooked or undersized). They used additional not genuine spacer rather then replace the hinge (fools at authorized dealer). I haven't any crash. MY2011 TD4 S Manual

Mileage of my new unreg car was suspiciously big, about 80km or 100km.
Have this noted in documentation protocols.
I asked the dealer about it, dealer said "don't know why it 's increased".
As I saw in a few Polish showrooms common mileage for every JLR car in Poland is about 30km. MY2011 TD4 S Manual

reading your previous posts, my own feellings are that there is definitely something suspicious with the vehicle.

is it too late to take it back to the dealer ?

It looks like something other than a roof rack which has done that. I would expect the centre of the roof to get a dent first if the roof rack was over loaded. But it would have to be seriously over loaded. Also couldn't be genuine roof racks either.

Are there any marks in the roof tracks or on the edge of the roof that may suggest a third party roof rack has been attached a some stage.

Are there any scratches or very fine scratches on the roof dents, what direction are they, across the car or along the car.

I would guess that the car has been squashed a by something other than a roof rack. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Hi, our one had the same by the b pillar and when I started looking there's loads with the same dents at the dealership, even had a loan car with it in. The dealership sorted it out. The body shop said its when they bond the roof on the glue has pulled it down...... Not what you expect on a new car.... Didn't notice it on handover but who thinks to look on the roof..
