Not anyone well known but just returned from funeral of my wife's Mum. They live on a farm in Devon and there is only one single track road into the place. In this part of Devon they usually bring the coffin to the house the night before and it's picked up by the hearse the next day. Now, my mother in law had complained to the council for years about the state of the road and potholes etc so on the morning of the funeral a tarmacking gang shows up unannounced and closes the road and starts resurfacing etc. The team are all eastern Europeans and don't seem to speak English. So there we were with the coffin and someone suggests an fallback plan and getting the farm LandRover and doing a Duke of Edinburgh style funeral and take her across the fields to a gateway and meet the hearse. Luckily the tarmac crew managed to finish early and let us out but at least the old girl had a smooth ride on the new tarmac on her way to the funeral. At least we got a laugh out of it. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Brings back so many childhood memories.
My dad and I followed the Apollo program with enthusiasm. I had the big Airfix Saturn 5 model. It was my boyhood dream to see the rocket for real.
Spent a memorable day at the Kennedy Space Center (sic) several years ago and chatted with shuttle astronauts.
That box is now ticked.

The Saturn 5 rocket is huge and on the top is a tiny capsule in which 3 men spent several days going where no man had gone before. Simply awesome. Jules
