How low do you go?

With the winter well and truly upon us, and certain tabloids forecast an Armageddon of a winter (again), how low do most of you let your tread get before changing.

(I'm running at about 4.5mm all round). Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018

As above, 4mm is the generally accepted minimum for winter.

Looks like the first real test of the forecasters could come tonight into tomorrow. Up to 4cm of snow are forecast for the North East, with up to 8cm on the hills (where I am). The snow could extend as far south as Nottinghamshire. I'm sceptical, but we'll see. There was a dusting of snow on the tops of the Pennines yesterday - the hills around Alston were quite white - but nothing really significant, not where I was anyway.

Recently binned mine at 4mm. Will see how these new Crossclimates make out over next few days as I am heading to the Lakes to go walking and may go up the Greenside mine track possibly. Could be in snow. Razz FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I'd agree with that. I have a set of winter wheels and tyres, which are on their third winter now with Nokia SUV3's and they still have over 6mm left equally over the tread. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather.
