If the handbrake was binding and you were doing 70 down the motorway, A) you may hear it as a screech/whistle from the hub that the handbrake shoes were binding in. The pitch of the noise would be proportionate to the speed B) would smell it when you got out and walked around the car. C) if you get a binding handbrake the whole disc will be very very hot . All those facts from personal experience :blub


To be honest I would not buy a 9 year old FL2 with such a short warranty as 3 months. Diff, Haldex , steering rack, and if it's manual the flywheel, each and every one are are expensive if they go pop.
