Another worth considering. Used this for close to 3 years now, no damage to air vents and holds a phone securely!

This is what I've been using wing. It is a good holder I just hate windscreen stick on holders. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

Not cheap but I have always used Brodit holders. Specific mount for car plus universal holder for phone.

Dakers, I ordered the phone holder yesterday and it arrived today, nice piece of kit but when I plugged my phone cable into the front lighter socket NOTHING although the rear one is working , any suggestions for a newbie |

You do know that the front socket is ignition-switched whilst the rear one is permanently live? |

Out of interest for those who have a Brodit holder, which one did you go with and how do you find it?

I have a Brodit that fits to the left of the radio, angled towards the driver. Does not obstruct anything (even the passenger)
