Snow foam

I've seen some photos that some of you put on re the snow foam cleaning results. I'm wondering, is it sufficient to just use snow foam for a quick wash? It's a pain to fetch out all the gear and buckets etc. so I thought some snow foam would be useful for a quick once over. Although I guess it will dry poorly once rinsed so I'll still need the drying towel but that presents a risk of left over grit? Confused

What is the recommended brand? We have a karcher pressure washer which has the facility to add on a bottle for these purposes. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

It will be ok, but is over rated, it still needs a wipe over after a rinse

Though you could spray a second coat and wipe over and rinse again hopefully most gritty dirt will have gone first time round

Just been doing some reading, this stuff could be good to reduce time

Basically spray a clean car like snowfoam and its leaves a hydrophobic coating when rinsed off

One thing to remember is that don't be tempted to re foam a clean car and then go over it with a mitt. Most snow foam shampoo's do not contain any lubricants as a car shampoo does. Therefore it will cause damage to your paint work over time if done. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

just order some of that hydrophobic snow foam. thought it could be a good way of sealing the car for a week or two inbetween the washes

since i washed the car for the first time this year the other week its due another before i go off in the c'van , might seal that too when i get it home to load up before setting off Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I use Auto Finesse Avalanche...always been really impressed by it - has to be premixed with warm water but it's a really good thick foam with a long dwell time. A lot of the time my 'cheat' wash is an application of foam and a jet wash off. Takes 10 mins and gets me to about 80% clean which is fine for a mid-week 'tidy up'

I just got an RO water filter (30ppm) to use as a final rinse. Which means that there's no longer any drying required as the water has miniscule amounts of dissolved solids that it doesn't leave water spots - very handy with 2 black cars !
