2014 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Santorini Black
Rear main oil seal

as per title wife came home yesterday noticed oil on the drive looked underneath and engine oil was dripping out . Took a look after work today and when it gets hot its dripping from inbetween the engine and box is this a common fault and who can Sad Sad Sad l I get to do it

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

It is a common fault unfortunately. A good independent can sort it for you if you don't want to pay main dealer prices. My local independent (Infield 4x4) can change them without removing the engine which keeps the cost down. I think main dealers take the engine out. Hopefully someone will be able to confirm that.

common fault, but should be sorted by an independent for around £400 max.
