My first guess having checked the wiring diagram is that the pump which inflates the support in the seat or its wiring is defective. Well, I might as well answer my own posts so, looking at the pump as shown on ebay sites it is wrapped in a padded, protective sheath and, therefore, I am sure that it is intended for installation within the rear seat backrest. This is supported by the fact that the air supply to the air cushion is short (<15cm-ish ) and there is no sign of such an item under the seat.
