Make sure that you use an earth strap from your body to Radiator etc as Static electricity can damage the Chips on the circuit board. This guy seems to be unaware of it.

Those key covers are for the later Freelander 2 2013? on. They do not fit 07-12 models 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

That's strange as I have just fitted 2 of them to a 2007 HSE 57 plate remotes, one of which was an obsolete remote that I inherited with the car and was kaput 10 years ago. (this one I presume had been deprogrammed when I purchased a new one at the time. The beauty of these new cases is that they can be opened and closed whenever needed without craft knives and superglue. (please explain how they do not fit ) Offset your Carbon emissions by boycotting Baked Beans and all Green Vegitables. |

The fobs in the link Taz put up are perfectly OK. They are not covers, they are complete fob cases.

The key fobs for 2006-2012 cars fit in the dash slot. Any extra cover/case on them would prevent their use in the slot. Later cars are "keyless" in that there is no slot for them to fit. They just have to be in your pocket (or wherever) for the car to recognise them. You can fit a cover to these if you wish.
