Assuming the last date is 2015 not 2016 the car looks as if it went over 18.5 k before its last service. Yes its a LR service history but I would not run my vehicle past the 15,000 between oil services. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current |

Sutty86's personal photos of the car show a capital D after the price. Is it a category D vehicle? Why didn't the dealer pressure wash the underside and engine bay, are they hiding something. 2013 TD4 GS Manual Santorini Black |

i would pull up the gaitor around gearstick and have a look, you should see dirt and possibly rust on brackets if it's been in flood. 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

I would walk away. Any seller knows the sale would be easier if it were clean. I've run a FL1 off road many times and the engine bay is similar to what I would expect if mud was washed up into the engine bay (splashed up by belts/wheels or natural force due to depth etc) after a bit of a wipe over on certain area's like the plastic cover. Even if they were busy and work on the basis of clean it when someone is coming to see it, they should be able to clean it if they wanted to. If they were honest they would be embarrassed at the state and tell you it would be cleaned before you buy. The mud inside could simply be water getting in when wading, which drained out later on, with a bit of carpet cleaning. Lift the carpet (driver foot well) to see what you find. Also look at the foam/finishing under the seats as this is difficult to get to to clean without removing the seats. It may be cheap but it's priced to sell in the condition it's in. It's a lot of money to spend and if an AA inspection is financially difficult then so is the risk. The FL2 can operate happily off road but there are many others out there for sale too. Have you tried Farm Direct Produce of Ombersley? I drive round those lanes as just down the road from them. |
