I would not be surprised if no-one bothers - judging by the number of LHD EU(various) plated cars seen in the daily "travel to work" queues! Yes, of course they go on hols every 6 months, officer!

You will need to think about insurance too. Will your Finnish insurers be happy to insure you outside the country for an extended period? Also bear in mind that if your car is LHD and you do register it in UK insurance will be less easy to obtain.

I have an LHD UK plated freely. Its insured through Stuart Collins and can be driven anywhere in europe 365 days per year inc UK. My bi xenons are switchable for RHD and MOT centre was OK with kmh speedo. Hope that helps?? |
