I decided to go ahead with the Windows 10 upgrade yesterday on one of my computers, an HP laptop. Upgrade went fine but now I have big problems with wifi. Tried all the usual stuff about updating drivers, restarting, device manager settings etc but it seems that every time that the laptop goes to sleep it has trouble reconnecting to the router. It can see it but won't connect without my manual intervention. Has anyone else experienced this?
ps other devices in the house continue to work fine. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Theres a thing in the news today about Windows 10, apparently it causes more trouble to systems than its worth at the moment?
Im thinking of leaving it for a year and getting Windows 25, such is the speed they keep relaunching, well trying to, new versions

Yes, it happened with my HP you need to re-tick auto connect, if that doesn't work check anti- virus settings for home network. My AVG was disabled and it had to be re-installed with a patch from AVG. Mine wouldn't wake up from sleep, haven't checked recently bur various HP devices have different foibles with MS10 depending on age and original OEM my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Yes I have redone the auto connect. It can find the router but it doesn't seem to be able to connect to it unless I get into device manager and then disable and re-enable the adapter.
I don't use AVG, I use the free Windows Defender one that is now built into Windows (used to be called MSE on Win 7 and earlier). I had one of the Win 10 technical preview versions a couple of months ago and that seemed to work OK. Luckily I only updated my wife's computer so at least it's slowed her down the on line shopping.  3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Can't help with this error I'm afraid. But I have recently updated a Compaq laptop to W10 the only issue has been unable to connect to an old printer so far. Perhaps now I think I do seem to lose internet sometimes since the update hmmmmm

I've updated my Samsung laptop and a home built PC that my wife uses. No problems on the PC, a nice easy upgrade from 8.1, which my wife detested. All the drivers were updated and every thing worked straight away. The wireless and Bluetooth on the laptop were not there straight after its upgrade from W7 but they did appear the next day after a couple of restarts while connected to our LAN. It now connects to both home and work wireless networks without any intervention.

Updated mine to Win 10 last week and had no problems except for one old piece of software on which I got Win 10 to do a compatibility check. It suggested running under Win XP emulation and that's been fine. All in all, no issues and it's MUCH faster than when running 7. 2011 SD4 HSE Auto

Different story with HP desk top pc! Failed upgrade about 25 times. Eventually downloaded the up grade and put it onto DVD then istalled it from there yesterday. Took hours to complete but finally managed it. I downloaded the installer and burnt to DVD and did an upgrade from Win 7. That finished OK but then I had no internet other than with Edge and Store. Spent several hours trying to fix but could not. So since I had an activation record now saved with MS I did a fresh install.

Despite running the Win 10 'compatibility checker' I found several programs that required tweaks or downloading and installing new versions.

Some application installs take an age, some things are a bit quicker perhaps, several apps have crashed in particular iTunes,

Overall not found any good reason to have upgraded and wish I'd stuck with Win 7 until at least SP1.

I have tried disabling the firewall, and I can delete the message if I Work Offline. Oddly I sent one email before the problem started, but suspect that an update has introduced the problem. There are reports online of this happening. I guess I need to work through them all and try to figure out which one, but if you have a fix....

If you do a google search in windows 10 wifi problems you get masses of hits so we are not alone. I mentioned it on Twitter the other day and I immediately got a response from Microsoft asking what the issue was exactly so they are obviously monitoring social media traffic. I did respond to MS but that's as far as I have got - no further response. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
