Has anyone replaced their auto head light sensor, if so what is involved and cost.

when nation windscreens replaced my screen, he wipe some sort of gel on to the sensor to make better contact with the screen

Thanks for the reply's, just had it serviced and it's reported that I need a new sensor @ £145 fitted. |

they are dead easy to replace, you just have to be patient and careful when taking apart the mirror housing and removing the old sensor.

Thanks for the info, how is the sensor attached to the windscreen is it clipped on or glued ?

Can't remember exactly. Think it is clipped but there is a silicon gel type substance presumably to seal the edges. |

OK thanks will have a look when the weathers better, it works but not reliable - could always try to get her in doors to use the switch |
