main door seal

Hi all does anyone know, the main door seal (the one thats fitted to the car and runs right along the top of the car, not the ones that are fitted to the doors), how is it fitted to the car?
I ask as mine is coming away from the car in a couple of places and its fairly new.
Is it glued on or pushed on?

Thanks in advance

On most cars it is just a push fit, maybe helped here & there with a soft mallet. Should not be falling off on 2013 car! 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

It's on with adhesive, till date I have had two passenger and one drivers doors seal replaced on an brand new MY14 car. It's a common issue that the dealers will replace under warranty.

This is one that has been replaced under warranty and it's already coming off.
Not too impressed with our new dealership in Aberdeen cars been in several times already in only 4 months of ownership!

Held in place with adhesive, my previous MY11 had one come away and no amount of 'repairing' cured it. When I eventually swapped the car for my present one it went in still with the faulty seal, this one is OK for now.

stuck on, so either have a chat with dealership about clean surfaces and glue adhesion or grab a tube of glue and do a proper job Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
