Scotland 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Indus Silver

Still not heard anything from T&C Aberdeen, lets hope my FL2 doesn't catch fire before I receive the recall notice, if it does then a very large lawsuit will be on the cards. Evil or Very Mad

If this fault is a danger to the vehicle or it's occupants or other road users then it should appear on the VOSA website.....but it doesn't Confused ______________________

The recall letter is from a Customer Service Operations Manager at Land Rover on Land Rover headed paper, asking you to get in touch with your dealer - so all the dealers must know about the recall - surely!! Rolling Eyes Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!

I have been keeping an eye on this thread as I too had not received a recall. However today received the letter and booked in for next week. For those still waiting it is obvioulsy still filtering through the system.

I wonder how much longer it will take to heat up in the winter though?

Those with heated chairs will be toasty, the rest will have to buy Land Rover branded hot water bottles - they are available to order from your dealer, hurry while stocks last otherwise they will be on back-order until February 2009! How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

Confirming previous posts - there is a recall on this but not a panic it seems. I had my gear cables lubricated on Friday in an attempt to reduce the t/m rumble and dealer did "the recall" at the same time. Fuse removed, new parts promised in the new year. He siad I would only notice the difference if I asked for a lot of heat on a short journey.

I have not used th heater much since but will keep and eye on it

Recall

Can anyone confirm that it is only a fuse that is removed on this heater recall? Stornaway grey SE auto with 18" alloys

Why, are you thinking about refitting the fuse on cold mornings? At work

The recall is in two stages:

Initially the fuse, then you'll be added onto a list and called back later on in the year when the new PTC parts are in stock for replacement - should take about 1.5 hours
