Children's car seats marking the leather seats.

Hi,
Just looking for some advice /ideas please.
I was carrying Grand child, Jack, in his car seat the other day and his car seat marked the leather, and took some cleaning etc to remove the marks.
Any suggestions over what I can put under and behind the child seats to stop the leather being affected?
Thanks

In my cars I always place a towel under the car seats to avoid rubbing marks. This also stops dirty footprints on the leather and stops sticky substances from getting to the seat.

The best option is let the child go in the wife's car though.

Gav.

Halfords

Local Halfords manager suggested I get their very reasonably priced seat protector designed specifically to stop such damage. (I have alpaca leather) It works and is very easy to fit & remove if you're switching seats between cars. Life is not a dress rehearsal!

We have a cheapish blanket across the back seats, tucked in to nice and neat, stops the seats being marked and serves as a great crumb catcher Smile can be removed to shake out and wash when required. MY2011 Freelander 2 GS Santorini Black

Ha-ha Laughing Rolling Eyes

Sorry to disappoint on both counts; alpaca was the colour and the cover is a simple unfussy metallic looking groundsheet material with simple strap to hook around the headrest to hold it in place. Once the car seat is in place it's barely visible, but an effective protection of the leather which is unmarked after several years family use. It was also cheap. Life is not a dress rehearsal!
