Which is best

Going to look into buying a laptop shortly, One which will be used for browsing and occasional use whilst away to download RAW files from my camera and edit them in LightRoom & Photoshop when away on holiday

I'm sort of apple orientated at home, so thinking apple, even though for the same money i could get a powerful kickass PC based laptop

I don't think the Macbook Air's can be upgraded, were as the Pro's can be at a later date, for RAM and either a new flash drive or external for either

No inks, have you considered checking out the refurbished section of the Apple Store?
Save money, get good as new and if you're lucky you'll even get a better spec than advertised.

i have checked and nothing was availible, but will most likely go down the refurb route as you get the same product, same warranty etc Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Firstly, no inks should have been Npinks. Autocorrect strikes again.

Sometimes you get very lucky with refurbs in that if the refurb was orignally specified with a custom set up you get
it passed on. I got an iMac in 2010 and when it arrived it had double the disk space and double the memory.
I'd go down the refurbished route again.

My 2011 MacBook Pro had 8GB RAM from the outset but I upgraded to an SSD last year. It kicks ass on all fronts with the SSD. You won't regret it when you link it to your iCloud account and everything syncs perfectly LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
