It is an improvement on the DVD unit, in fact its options are quite usable, I use it mainly as a visual aid until I get completely lost then I use it for what its designed for, usually the last few miles. |

I have read on the forum that there is a lot of "naysayers" about the LR Nav

Does that mean I could load my GPX cycle routes into the SatNav to follow when the FL2 is used as a support vehicle ? Jules |

Ive tried that and dont seem to be able to get it setup right . Sometimes my entrance into a roundabout is not from the bottom which means you have to process where you really are. Using the number of exits doesnt always work as it sometimes includes the incoming lane of an urban dual carriageway as an exit. Caused much argument with SWMBO Jules |

Jules, I have my Compass set at "3d", screen mode set at "split" "Guidance Screen" selected and "auto zoom" enabled.

Not had mine long and I think it is pretty good even though I'm still using it as delivered ... Mind you, I thought my previous MY10 satnav was pretty good too.

The only thing I find annoying is the unit's love of A roads. Here in the fens there are lots of long straight minor roads that the Garmin and TomTom are happy to point you down, but the LR unit is always desperate to take you miles round along an A road. It's supposed to be able to adapt to your favourite route, but as far as I can tell it isn't doing so.

Does anyone have a link to where I could find the AU speed camera database file needed to update the POI please? |

The one in our Evoque is miles better that the one in our old FL2. I'm assuming that it is the same one as in the later FL2's? Sometimes local knowledge is better and I note in the instructions that if you ignore the satnav three times in a row and take a different route it 'learns' that route. I've still got to work out how to download the speed cameras onto it though. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
