Anyone used Apple Pay or Android equivalent?

Just set mine up with a couple of cards and apparently you just hold your phone close to the contactless reader in the shop and put your thumb or finger on the scanner as normal and job done.

I've just got a bad feeling it will malfunction if I try it Laughing LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Explain more?

I've just looked in the app store and it looks like you can only use Apple Pay online in certain stores. Is this availible on iPhone 6 and can be used on card machines in store? How do I get it on my phone?

You need to check you've got the latest iOS update installed then go into passbook app and add whatever cards you want. It gives a brief tutorial on how it works. You can enter cards manually or use the camera to read the details on the front of the card. It's available on the 6 and can be used for small amounts like contactless cards. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Been using it since Tuesday...works a treat on my iPhone 6. Used it again this morning in LiDL of all places, so think its going to be quite big once the other major banks have cottoned on to it. (Mine was Nationwode BTW) Foraging near Gaydon....

Neither Lloyds nor Barclaycard have joined Applepay so can't try it though still think it's a good idea. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

I get the feeling it will never work right when you want it to but if anyone nicks your phone it will for them and empty your bank account.
Wonder if it uses LR keyless entry format?? Rolling with laughter

If they nick your phone they will need to take one of your digits with it, only works with Finger Print recognition. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Just made my first payment with this system Thumbs Up

I tried it without activating the display and just holding my thumb over the scanner as the instructions suggested but nothing happened. I unlocked the phone and accessed passbook to do it from there and still nothing.

It turned out the woman on the till hadn't keyed in the amount and pressed enter Rolling Eyes Once she did, the phone just beeped to acknowledge payment and job done. Very Happy LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
