JGH99 - I fitted a set of Kumho KL71 Road Venture Mud Terrain tyres to my Freelander 2 a couple of years ago. The size I fitted was 265/70 X 17 to help give me maximum ground clearance. I did a post at the time with some pics if you want to see them fitted ;

They are great tyres off road with a lot more grip than my General Grabber All Terrains but they are noisy!

I hardly found the General Grabber AT's any noisier than the Good Year Wrangler's they replaced but the Kumho KL71's are in a different league noise wise - Above 30 mph the tyre noise really is significant and you know your not just on road tyres.....

Most of the time I just drive my Freelander 2 on my General Grabber AT's and keep the Kumho KL71's for my off road events.
