EXHAUST TAILPIPE FINISHER VPLFB0031

Been thinking of fitting the LR tailpipe finisher but as some other members have pointed out, without the bumper extension it looks alittle bolted on as you can see it slides over the pipe looking from above.
I've physically not seen one so I'm assuming the tailpipe finisher slides up the tailpipe as far as the std pipe will allow it. This being set at factory for the lower level of the bumper extension/shirt kit!
Has anyone done/thought of trimming the stock pipe so that the finisher can slide further up the stock pipe, allowing the finisher to be closer to the bumper and hiding the upper appearance?
Btw I'm not planning of fitting bumper extension at any time.

Quite a few cut the end off the pipe to make it sit higher and it looks better for it.

Yeah that's what I thought Thumbs Up
So I was correct in that the finisher's travel up the stock pipe is limited to the length
of the stock pipe so trimming will allow it to slide further up?
Any chance of anyone giving me a few pics to have a look at the result?
It's not a cheap item, especially over here so I want to be confident it will look good. MY15

Taz is correct, I do have his tail pipe finisher! He DID sell it to me Rolling Eyes However it is not the pukka LR trim, being a "universal fit " item. It still points up at about 5 degrees or so, have yet to look at how to level it off. Trimming the exhaust end wont work, as it passes through the finisher without fouling. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

There are some things in life you never really let go of Laughing

Stuart, another option and one which looks even better, is to swap out the whole back box for a petrol one and go down the twin tailpipe route, looks much better and with many more petrol versions in your market you might get one relatively easily.
Failing that, Miltek do a cat back exhaust for the diesel Evoque and it sounds surprisingly good, that should be the same fitment too.

Yes, have enquired about i6 back box, none in country ex uk
$900. I'm also cautious about changing back box now as car is only 6months old and don't want any problems re warranty even though dealer tells me Freelander 2 has no problems Whistle , so probably tailpipe finisher will satisfy my desire to just tidy up the tailpipe atm and probably change to twin pipe at a later date.
I don't mind the single tailpipe as it's a rather "meaty" pipe but it looks a little lost with all the chrome that the MY15's have at the rear, YES BLING - shock horror!!! Taillights, tailgate, bumper tread plate etc - so a chrome tailpipe would be consistent. MY15

Interesting it appears to be a standard i6 back box with dual exhaust pipe covers. Did you get any full shots of the vehicle? MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

I'm not too keen on the rubber bands.

Is this the fake exhaust end option or a proper end piece?

I've seen some with this but it looks seriously crap from behind as you can see the original exhaust actually going through the fake end piece and out the bottom of it.

Yes it's the stainless steel tip that came standard on the dynamic. These tips were made to accompany the bodykit

Similar, I think the one that I had, had an inner part that disguised it and it didn't look so bad as the exhaust downpipe was hidden to a degree. It also helps if you cut the end off and get it close to the bumber.
