Apologies for poor picture, but I saw this 10 plate FL2 in front of me while exiting local supermarket and did a double take when I noticed the Sport badge where the usual trim badge would be. Huh?

I can't see from your picture, but my one was a genuine LR part, albeit for a different model.

If it doesn't look like a DS part, he might have been to the chav section of his local Hell-frauds... Foraging near Gaydon....

Freelander 2 Sport was a limited edition of 500 vehicles sold in 2011.

They started out life as the HST in early models then changed to Sport LE around 59 plate with a slightly different body kit to the HST. Continued into facelift models still as Sport LE until around 2013/2014 when they changed to the Dynamic.
Some appear to have been badged Sport on the tailgate,some had no badge. The Dynamic has no model badges.

As far as I'm aware no UK sports were badged! The dynamic was badged up but it was market specfic. After taking delivery of my new dynamic the local pub owner seen mine and purchased one in black! I sold him the genuine dynamic black badge for �60

Ive seen a couple with exactly the same style sport badge on, all were pre facelift and didnt appear to have much of a body kit on compared to the later LE Sport and Dynamic kits.

I think the seats on all models regardless of age came with a different colour stripe down the centre, usually black seats with white stripe, only the later LE Sport and Dynamic models had different colour options for the stripe I think.

Could be wrong, im sure LRNUT or other HST/Sport/LE Sport/Dynamic owners on here will know more.

Either way, an LE Sport/Dynamic will be my next FL2 of choice for definite

Australia, Yes, badged Sport, and head restraints had sport embossed into them. Only very few made it here. Early facelift only with earlier dash.
I suspect the only thing "Sport" about that particular vehicle was the badge.  MY15

The Freelander 2 Sport did not deserve to be badged as a sport or called a sport in my opinon

The FL1 Sport got slated heavily for a sport badge (decals on side wing/doors) and that was the only FL to have the biggest wheels which were 18" alloys and it sat 30mm lower than the standard vehicle.
