The Alpine surround sound is;

1 subwoofer
1 center dash speaker
2 upper dash speakers
2 front A pillar tweeters
2 front door midbass
2 rear door tweeters
2 rear door midbass
2 rear D pillar surround sound

14 speakers all up. The tweeters in the rear doors are next to the midbass ones and easy to miss.

The Meridian Surround Sound system is noted as being 17 speakers, all in the same location as the Alpine system but the center dash and D pillar speakers are doubled up which is the extra 3. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers

Thanks Cambo, I have checked but cannot see the rear tweeters, maybe the earlier Alpines only had 12 speakers?

They are there, but there is no separate grill for them so they might be hard to see.

If I remember they are above and to the front of the midbass. If you roll up a newspaper into a tube and put your ear to them you'll find them by ear. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers

As simple as adding 3 speakers, changing over AMP's and changing 2 fields in the CCF.

I just like to say a special Thank You to Taz and Cambo whom without their help I'm not sure if I would have either followed through or believe I could have done this.
