Likely one or more of your BRAKE pads are binding. Remove pads and clean up, check freedom of movement in calipers. Could be just a stone jammed in caliper. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

my rear nearside wheel was squealing and grinding on manouvering and when first pulling away after parking. Guessed it was the handbrake and sure enough the handbrake pretty much failed shortly afterwards

been having the same problem, turns out the inner brake pad on the off side had cracked in half through the friction material, swapped the discs at the same time as the hand brake drum was a rusty mess, auto so never use hand brake[img]
