Sounds like a flat battery, but presumably the AA man will have checked that? |

I know its been blamed for a multitude of problems and to be honest I haven't a clue to yours, but check the two plug/sockets in the passenger footwell where they have been kicked and separated. |

I would go with the battery....things that are working don't take a lot of power, but with the motors in the locks not working it seems to point towards the battery |

Thanks I've rechecked the battery, even though the AA did it has 12.4 v so not tip top, but more than enough , The AA guy said its a can bus system and could be caused by any number of things but apart from the rear wiper going south yesterday it was running like new, surely pulling the fuses and relays couldn't cause an issue, ps they have all be re- checked , and so has the seating . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

The trouble seemed to have started when you pulled the fuses out so I would go back to there, are you sure you put every fuse back in it's right place? e.g did you pull one out and put it in an empty spot either side of it, or you could check the fuse blades are clean in case of a bad contact |

every Fuse is checked and reseated, the AA guy checked everything as well, I know what you mean , is that when the problem started, but to me it the nearest I've seen to this is when I've had firmware failures on my bikes, and wondered if it was anything like that , The AA man said the vehicle thinks it has had a crash . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Have you tried the system reset? Disconnect both battery leads and hold them together for a while - double check the correct method for this as I am going by memory.

Grasping at straws now but, maybe disconnecting the battery overnight to let everything drain down in case you have a stray voltage somewhere? |

thanks Guys, Battery disconnected and on charge, and the battery leads joined with with one of my bike sized jump leads to do the " Hard Reset" but as the wiper was going funny yesterday I'm hoping it's not a canbus problem.

Is your battery an AGM type? When I had electrical problems with mine it turned out to be the AGM battery, it wouldn't hold charge or accept a 'jump' from another vehicle. |

Just out of interest was the AA guy a Landrover Assist specialist or just a general AA type? I know that LR assist work for the AA now and are supposed to be sent out to JLR problems and they have the proper JLR diagnostic gear. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
