Great result What degreaser did you use, presumably with plenty of rags, as it has cleaned up really well? |

I used Gunk Heavy Duty Aerosol. I've used that on motorbike engines before. Sprayed it on and then worked it in with an old brush. Sprayed more on. Rinsed off with water. Then the rags .... |

400 miles since the repair and the jubilee clips seem to be holding their own.

Yes just a hose pipe and I covered the glow-plugs with a black bin bag and tried to be careful and didn't aim at anything electrical. There was still some puddles in the head that I dries using an old towel. I did consider spraying the injector area with Damp-start but in the end I just ran the engine with the cover off until it got up to temperature. |

This is the view under the bonnet on my new (to me) Freelander. Looks like Landrover have done away with the dodgy surclips and replaced them with good old jubilee clips. What a great idea.
