Yeah it is. Bought the car from Taggarts in Glasgow. They were good but inconvenient to take it there as look after the kids full time. Will see how I get on with Morrisons. |

In theory Taggarts should collect warranty cars and leave you with a loaner, or at least that was what I was told. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

They did with the fuel and paint issues, however it is just easier dealing with a local. Still getting a loan car. |

Well, dropped the car off this morning at the dealers to get issues checked.

Transfer box is the bit that takes the drive from the output end of the gearbox to the prop shaft, not a known fault. Rear pads is also interesting at 36K, one wonders about previous history and sales PDI. I do wonder how many dealers use the warranty to repair cars that already have faults and are ignored until the car is sold. Though it's a failure either way, reputation for the car doesn't help if the customer discovers it. Makes a very unhappy bunny as Chuckalicious now is my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Got the car back just now as they don't have space for the work (or the part) for another couple.of weeks. No big deal there. They have replaced the pads though. Apparently one was seized and down to the metal and the other overheated and cracked. Bloody hell.

Didn't think the FL2 suffered from seized callipers, I knew my old SF did , first thing you did after the winter was free off the rear callipers that's was the cause of the rear pads wearing out, fronts were OK, have to check the temperatures after a trip. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Apparently the calipers weren't seized - she said if they had been it could have been claimed on warranty. I didny ask more as I don't know the anatomy of the rear breaks... |

I think the reference is to the slide pins being seized rather than the piston (which might have worked for the warranty). Whenever I get a new (to me) car I always check that the pads are equally worn on both sides which is a sign that the calipers are free to move. I usually then take the pads out at some point and make sure everything can slide about as it should. Checking and changing pads is a really easy job and something that everyone should be able to do. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
