No, I just have 3 family cars. Two are without DPF, my Freely and the VW Passat and the Focus with DPF. That is why I am asking if the 100% syntetic FD is ok to be used in all the cars.

You DO have a fleet! I cannot comment on use of the FD spec though. I am sure some expert will be along soon... 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

FC . Mind you if yr car has no DPF .....then perhaps EXOL FC is cheaper Up the Cobblers |

From the research on the a2oc forum semi-synth is the way to go for best results. I have inadvertantly just bought some mineral 2so and it's not quite as smooth running. eh tu? |

Can I be a real pain and ask a couple of questions to simplify things.

No, you shouldn't have a DPF. Run your finger around the tailpipe, if it's sooty then you haven't.

I thought the DPF was fitted in conjunction with the introduction of the 'e' stop-start spec in 2009? If not that is great as it hopefully means I can also blank off the EGR without affecting the ECU programming! eh tu? |

I don't seem to read hardly any posts on here about people putting 2T oil in their cars with DPFs. Mostly only people who recommend what oil to use in them.

You have to remember that there are people from Land Rover (Liam and Kelly) who monitor this forum. It could be argued that 2T oil is an unauthorised addition to fuel so people with warranties may not want to mention that they use it. |

Just want it known that I have never used 2SO. Someone has been writing here using my name. (That should sort out the warranty problem) |
