Stop/start?

Tried to find info on stop/start system, to no avail. Had the car 3 weeks now and stop/start has not operated once.
Is it anything to do with the cold weather? I have got the system switched on. Also suffering with not
starting symptoms! Going in Friday for investigation. 2013 Dynamic Santorini black

From what I understand the stop start system won't operate under certain conditions, if the air con is on which it wouldn't be this time of year as it could take too much out of the battery with the engine off but also if the battery is low it wouldn't operate as starting could cause the same problem.

Other opinions are available. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

Doesn't work if there is a large difference between the cabin temp and the outside temp. or at least mine doesn't.

The stop/start doesn't work below temperatures of 4 degrees. Now mine never worked properly since I bought the car. It worked ok in the summer but not in winter. The battery needs to have a good charge in it. Small journeys in such as towns can affect the charge of the battery. I got a new AGM battery in December and my stop/start works a treat now, its been fine this winter, works if the temperature is 4 degrees or above and when the air con is operating.

It could be that your battery is low on charge, or your battery is showing signs its ready for replacement. When starting on a cold morning have you noticed a HDC error being displayed on the dashboard, if so this is an indication of possible battery issues. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

I'll have to wait til summer then, when I find out which day it is!! Laughing It is the original battery, but
no error message comes up. I have written to the original owner for some history. Not even the courtesy

Is switching it off the same as permanently off, or does it reset each time the ignition is operated? 2013 Dynamic Santorini black

Resets each time the ignition is operated. As far as I'm aware it is not possible to permanently switch it off.
I've had it for 4 1/2 years and I can't say it has ever really bothered me or caused me a problem and it is now being rolled out to more and more vehicles.

Stop start problems

I have had an ongoing battle to get my stop start fixed under warranty.
It hadnt worked for six months, summer, autumn and winter.
It went into the dealership four times to no avail as diagnostics found nothing wrong.
Each time the battery was down, only putting out 600 amps instead of 800 , so it was charged up.
Cold start voltage was 12.1 volts.
The battery was within spec according to Landrover so the dealer would not replace it.
Eventually I really kicked off and a new battery was fitted and now it works everytime it should.
The cold start voltage is now 12.4 to 12.5 volts on the new battery.
I hope this helps.
P.S. Its my first post.
