Topic says it all, other half driving down A303 and hit a big series of puddles covering both lanes. Huge wall of water and on the third one an audible clunk was felt followed by loss of power. Cant go more than 3000rpm or 50mph but no warnings on dash?

Might be worth checking the air filter as May be water logged. |

On a long trip in France the other year and through lots of rain my FR2 lost power and felt like cars of yester year when the timing was out. I examined the air filter which was soaked and had allowed water right up inside the air ducting past the filter itself. LR weren't even interested and just said this can't happen. All dried out and all ok. I guess the actual air intake is with-in the wheel arch, behind the inner covers?? |

Have left it on a slope to drain away at the overnight stop, will have a poke around in the morning and have a look at the filter. Whereabouts is the lambda sensor anyway on a FL2? Presumably buried down near the cat? |

The air intake is the vent on the left hand front wing. The ducting from there to the air filter is pretty porous. There is also a drain at the bottom of the air filter box with a rudimentary one way valve consisting of a rubber disc. This disc is often missing. |

I can not stress enough to pull the air intake ducting off as if the water has passed into this via the air filter box it then fills up in the areas that look like molded plastic tubes/cylinders that come off of it. The ducting has a large clip one end that I managed to open using a pair of 5 holes/swan neck pliers. Good luck |

Seems fine today, no torn screwdriver around to have a check of the filter so that's a job for when we're back home tomorrow. Definitely think it was a sodden filter either via the intake or perhaps the sheer pressure forcing its way in through the valve (if it was even there) |
