I do wonder also why they blurr the idiots number plate, yet the White van in the next lane, doing nothing wrong they don't bother, should be the other way around.

I expect they started the journey with a clear windscreen but did not clear the roof. Which is what most people do to be fair as a small scraper dosnt reach the roof. A little braking and then a window covered in snow but oh pants I'm in the outside lane and now what do I do.

BBC as usual making twisted headlines from an incomplete story.

I will tell my neighbour that her story is nonsense, no one knows only the driver where the snow came from, the BBC can only report on the facts at hand.Rolling Eyes

The law states you must be able to see through every glass panel on the vehicle and you also must not let anything fall from your vehicle, this includes ice and snow, you can and people have been prosecuted for it.

The actions of the driver were reckless and as they may be prosecuted the number plate has been hidden so as not to hinder the legal process.

In Canada the snow clearance from vehicles is well enforced, for good reason. A 10 cm layer of ice on your roof suddenly coming loose under heavy braking for a pedestrian crossing for example becomes a very efficient scythe....

when I was out a walk the other day a driver of a high top luton van was weaving all over the road, trying to make ice/snow fall off the roof and hit pedestrians on the adjacent footway.

just missed me !!
