Something where the damn roof doesn't slope down so that you can't use the space inside to fill with animal feed and bedding

I fancy a Shogun - a proper 4 x 4, old, well liked by owners but panned by the motoring press. Heaps of car for the money and not stuffed with too much electronic junk. Would like to stay with Landrover but far too much style and not enough substance these days. |

Just got my Freelander and it's only just over a 1000 km & less than half of those are mine! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I was considering the DS as our 7 seater family car but in 7 seat mode the luggage space and leg room appears awful so that rules that out. Kind of pointless the DS being 7 seats as you can't put any luggage in the car. I will not be getting another Land Rover as the reliability on my current and previous fl2 has been shocking . I can not rely on it for punting the family about.

For me it will be DS HSE Lux. Can't stand the BMW X Range and the Audi Q Range, so I'll stick LR. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |

I have no plans to change for a couple of years at least so I will consider the Disco Sport when the time comes but also look at the competition. 7 seats are of no benefit to me, I need something to tow a 1650kg 'van around Europe with two people and return with a few cases of vino.

Unfortunately, I never wanted an Ewoke, and that means all the new models are out. As said above, the new Defender might be good for me. Until then, I will be looking at anything except L/R! |

Only owning the FL for some 7 months or so, and the massive list of problems I have been stuck with Needless to say that when the 5 years of debt is up will probs go for a newer FL2 or if the money drops by then maybe a D4 or see whats about in the DS in nearly 5 years time
