window stuck!

So i had the window up and down quite a few time yesterday after fitting some wind deflecters, then the window just stopped half way down and would not move, i was thinking it would be the thermal cut out and should leave it half an hour.
Well i come back some time after and still nothing so left it over night, and still nothing, time to take the door card off and see if there is a manual override but there is not.
I had to resort to getting my dad to pull up the window and i pulled the button, we can hear the control box relay clicking every time i press the button and when we pulled on the window i can hear the motor wanting to move but it does not sound healthy.
Any of you guys got any cules on how to fix it before its a trip down to my local land rover deals.
Thanks jay

Not sure but it might be worth disconnecting the battery, touching the two terminals together and then reconnecting. It might do something you never know.

Have you tried the reset procedure as described in the owners manual? Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
