Sports grille for Freelander SE

Hello all,

Counting the days now till delivery of our new FL2 SE Td4, Stornoway Grey, Auto, black leather upholstery, PTI, SatNav, smoked side repeaters, etc ... !!! At least I hope we're talking days only .... Confused Dealer told me it would take one week to prepare the car after delivery ....

Quick question though ...... any of you ever heard about whether the new grille which comes with the sportspack is or will be available for purchase as a single item? I for one would certainly love to replace the standard grille with this one!

Greetings from Geneva,
Marcus

I have not seen a part number for it, but i have seen the item for sale on eBay before

I presume any part of the sport styling kick can be ordered separately as I know you can get the spoiler and exhaust trim as one offs Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thanks, npinks. I'm sure you can order replacement parts, but my experience, at least here in Switzerland, is that parts which belong to certain models or versions are only available if you actually have that model/version. Here they wouldn't even replace the black grille on my previous BMW 320d with a chrome grille, as this was only for the 325 and 330 ... Rolling Eyes ... Had it replaced in Spain with no hassle though .... may have to do the same for the LR2 grille Laughing

I think you should not have a problem in this case as the difference between a FL2 with a sport grille is not like being another model as 320 oposed to the 325. Might be cheaper not to do it in Switzerland thought. FREELANDER 2 TD4 SE (XS UK) IZMIR BLUE SIDE STEPS COLD PACK BI-XENON TINTED WINDOWS - AND PROUD OF HER

You may very well be right, Matei. Will check it out in Spain first once I have the FL2. We'll be driving south to our second home end July, so a good opportunity to stop by the LR dealers in Barcelona. Thumbs Up

Prices are probably better in Spain. I am doing some accesories fitting in Germany because prices are abt 40% cheaper than here.

Edit: If you fit the grille post some pictures FREELANDER 2 TD4 SE (XS UK) IZMIR BLUE SIDE STEPS COLD PACK BI-XENON TINTED WINDOWS - AND PROUD OF HER

A hacksaw blade and some masking tape, heh? Shocked

I think I'll stop by the dealer ... Laughing

By the way, ever noticed how the last week of waiting for your new toy lasts the longest? All I'm doing these days is waiting for news from my dealer that the FL2 has arrived and is ready for pick-up!

I was under the impression that the FL2 does not brake down I assume that the repair part relates to the other LR models Laughing
