very difficult to maximise mpg with an auto as you don't have any control of engine speed/torque, etc

I'm on my second SD4, 31.5 round town and general runs is spot on for what I am getting, had a run up to Carlisle and back today, managed 39 on the run, cruise set at 70 most of way there and back. |

For excellent mpg I recommend a small diesel Euro box and not a Land Rover * GONE. GS TD4 Manual MY2013. Orkney Grey with privacy, cold and clearview packs, armrests (a must!) and a spoiler.
