United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey
MPG Tips

Hello
Only third go on here
Having purchased a 11 plate Freelander 2 sd4 Auto HSE recently and it stopped with a broken sender unit before I got to the bottom of my first tank
It had recorded 31.4 mpg whilst driving normal roads before it weren't in for repairs
I was going to do a tank by selecting manual mode to see if I could improve on 31.4 mpg

What do you experts think,

Has anybody tried it
Any other tips you recomend

Regards
Alan xxx

Scotland 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e HSE Manual Lago Grey

very difficult to maximise mpg with an auto as you don't have any control of engine speed/torque, etc

just take it easy with the right foot on the gas pedal !!

I'm on my second SD4, 31.5 round town and general runs is spot on for what I am getting, had a run up to Carlisle and back today, managed 39 on the run, cruise set at 70 most of way there and back.
